Just go through the matrimonial sites and you’ll see tons of profiles where all sorts of things went wrong (including husband-wife never consummating marriage). There was no manglik-vs-nonmanglik issue. Its just a matter of bad luck sometimes and blindly marrying someone through arranged marriages.
As far as I can tell, even the astrologers from different parts of the country cannot agree what is a manglik or a non-manglik. Each has their own computational formula based on concepts that have no basis in reasoning. This thing could never stand up to scientific scrutiny (i.e., pure statistical analysis of what percentage of manglik-nonmangklik couples break up vs both-non-manglik vs both-manglik couples). No such study has ever been conducted as there’s simply no one to fund such a study. Infact, you might get lynched by the saffron-brigade for doing such a study.
